Mr. EDITOR,--I have often heard the above remark from professing Christians, when they have been exhorted to be alive in the service of God, and to show by a holy walk and conversation that they have been with Jesus; or when they have been invited to lend their aid in sending the Gospel to the perishing heathen. But the remark appears to me to be a very improper one, inasmuch as it conveys the idea, that those who make it, feel under no obligation to perform either of these duties, but only admit that it is their privilege.
