소셜미디어 시대의 청소년: 온라인 참여활동이 청소년의 정치적 태도에 미치는 영향 = Adolescent in the Age of Social Media: The Impact of Online Engagement Activities on Youth’s Political Attitudes

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적: 본 연구의 목적은 온라인에서의 활동 참여와 청소년들의 정치효능감, 정치관심 및 정치참여의 관계를 확인하는 것이다.


방법론/접근: 본 연구는 C도 청소년의 정치참여 실태조사 및 활성화 방안에서 수집된 데이터를 활용하였다. 표본의 인구통계적 특성을 파악하기 위해 기술통계를 사용하였고, 요인별 관계는 상관분석을 통해 확인하였다. 인구통계적 변수가 정치적 태도에 미치는 영향은 t검증과 일원배치분산분석을 실시하였고, 온라인 참여활동이 정치효능감, 정치관심, 정치참여에 미치는 영향은 위계적 회귀분석을 통계 분석하였다.


결과/결론: 온라인 참여는 청소년들의 정치적 태도 형성에 중요한 역할을 하며, 성별, 연령, 학업 성취도, 주관적 가정 경제 상태, 정치 성향 등의 인구통계적 요인들이 중요한 영향을 미친다는 사실이 확인되었다. 특히, 여성 청소년, 학업 성취도가 높은 청소년, 진보적 정치 성향을 가진 청소년들이 더 높은 정치적 효능감과 참여도를 보였다. 본 연구는 청소년의 정치 교육 및 참여 촉진 프로그램 설계 시 이러한 인구통계적 변수를 고려해야 함을 강조하며, 온라인 플랫폼과 소셜 미디어가 청소년들이 정치적으로 참여하고 정보를 얻으며 의견을 표현하는 중요한 수단임을 확인하였다. 또한 연구를 통하여 청소년들의 민주적 정치 태도 함양을 위한 체계적인 교육과 다양한 활동이 필요함을 알 수 있다.

Purpose: This study provides empirical support for the theoretical assumption that engagement in online environments may increase adolescents’ political efficacy, political interest, and political participation.








Methodology: This study utilized data collected from a survey on the political participation status and activation plans of adolescents in C-do. Descriptive statistics were used to understand the demographic characteristics of the sample, and the relationships between factors were identified through correlation analysis. The impact of demographic variables on political attitudes was analyzed using t-tests and one-way ANOVA. The influence of online activity participation on political efficacy, political interest, and political participation was statistically analyzed using hierarchical regression analysis.








Findings: This suggests that online environments play an important role in shaping adolescents’ political attitudes. Furthermore, the findings indicate that various demographic variables such as gender, age, grade, socioeconomic status, and political orientation play important roles in shaping adolescents’ political attitudes. Therefore, these variables should be taken into account in designing political education and engagement programs for adolescents. In addition, online platforms and social media serve as crucial means for adolescents to participate politically, obtain information, and express opinions. Therefore, adolescents’ online engagement should involve recognizing and respecting differences perspective and fostering responsible participation. Additionally, the study reveals the necessity of systematic education and various activities to foster democratic political attitudes among adolescents.
