The research investigates the effect of extracurricular activities to self-effect and self-achievement is classified into three factors:- physical factors, artistic factors, and intellectual factors. They were analized by the effects of self-effect and self-achievement. The children who have extracurricular activities more than 2 times a week (each at least 50 mins after school). Children living in Southern part of Gwang-ju city( Nam Gwang-ju), were targeted for the study.
We used a self-effect and a self-achievement survey report as the method of research. However, we excluded some in sincere survey datas such as double entrys or blank entrys, only secure data was included and analized by SPSS 10.0.
We reach some conclusions from the collected datas used by a standard variance, a analysis of reliability, multiful response cross-tab, one-way anova, correlation followed as below ;
1. The school childrens extracurricular activities on participation characteristics shows that depending on sex, family income, the intellectual activities, artistic activities, physical activities follow the academic level of the children in school. Also it shows that the physical activities of school children decrease as the increase in grade.
2. The psychological characteristics follow the dynamic statistic of population and the academic year, it shows the small contrast that is :
first, the self-effect depends on sex, family income and the academic year. second, the self-achievement depends on family income, parents academic background (especially mother's )and the academic year.
3. The psychological characteristics follows the form of activities after school. It shows the small contrast in self-effect,l and self-achievement.
4. We found that there is a high mutual relationship between the psychological characteristic factors. The self-effect, and self-achievement was getting higher as the childeren improved in self-physical, through the extracurricular activities after school.
