『東人之文四六』收錄‘樂語’·‘致語’考 = An analysis of “Yueyu樂語” and “Zhiyu致語” in Anthology of Poems of Silla and Goryeo Literati

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 睿宗 연간(1106-1122)부터 북송문학의 수용을 통해 고려문단에서 새롭게 발전하는 문체 중의 하나로 『東人之文四六』에 수록되어 전하는 ‘樂語’와 ‘致語’ 작품에 대한 분석을 통해 그 문체적 특징 및 창작 배경을 밝히고자 하였다. ‘樂語’는 송나라 때 궁중 연회 중에 배우가 황제에게 올리는 敎坊致語로 문한 담당자가 제작했는데, 蘇軾이 한림원에 재직 당시 지은 6편의 樂語 작품 분석을 통해 그 형식적 특징을 살펴보았다. 그리고 ‘致語’는 ‘樂語’의 首章에 해당하는 致語·口號만으로 구성된 문체로 문인들의 연회에서 제작되었는데, 歐陽修의 「會老堂致語」로부터 유행하기 시작했다.
한편 고려전기에는 북송과의 교류에서 고려문단의 중심인물들이 정사나 부사, 또는 서장관 등 사절단원의 핵심 멤버로 선발되어 북송에 파견되었다. 또한 이렇게 파견된 사행원들을 통해 북송문단의 새로운 문체도 적극적으로 수용되고 있는데, 그러한 예로 金富佾, 韓安仁, 金富儀의 북송사행과 그들이 제작한 ‘樂語’ 및 ‘致語’ 작품을 살펴보았다. 金富佾은 肅宗 5년(1100)에 서장관으로 북송에 사행하는데, 이후 예종 10년(1115)경에 ‘樂語’ 작품 「八關致語」를 지어 예종 및 북송의 휘종으로부터 칭찬을 받았으며, 예종 11년(1116) 4월에는 「西京龍堰宮大宴致語」를 지었다. 韓安仁도 예종 3년(1108)에 부사로 북송에 사행한 바가 있는데, 예종 13년(1118)경의 咸寧節 연회에서 ‘樂語’ 작품 「咸寧節御宴致語」를 제작했다. 한편 金富儀는 예종 6년(1111)에는 서장관으로, 그리고 仁宗 2년(1124)에는 부사로 북송에 사행한 바 있는데, 인종 7년(1129)경에 구양수의 「會老堂致語」를 의식하면서 문인들의 연회를 기념하는 「尙州宴致語」를 지었다.
이처럼 『東人之文四六』에 수록된 ‘樂語’ 및 ‘致語’는 북송문단에서 새롭게 유행한 문체로 초기의 작품은 모두 북송에 사행한 바 있는 문인들에 의해서 창작되고 있다. 이는 고려문단의 북송문학 수용뿐만 아니라 고려시대 한문학 발전에 있어서도 매우 주목할 만한 현상이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

During the reign of Emperor Yejong(1106-1122), the Korean literary world gradually developed in the process of accepting the literature of the Northern Song Dynasty. This paper analyzes the stylistic features of the new literary styles―“Yueyu” and “Zhiyu”, which are included in Anthology of Poems of Silla and Goryeo Literati(Donginjimunsayuk), and clarifies the background of their creation.
“Yueyu” was made with the Song dynasty palace banquet played in the Gyobang (Musical House) by civil ministers who were good at literature. For example, So Sik wrote six “Yueyu” during his working in Hallimwon. Through So Sik’s “Yueyu”, we can roughly analyze its formal characteristics. And “Zhiyu”, on the other hand, was composed of the first chapter of “Yueyu”, namely Zhiyu·Kouhao, which was composed by scholars on the spot at banquets. Its popularity began with Koo Yangsoo’s the Zhiyu made in Hoerodang.
In the early period of Koryo, in the process of communication with the Northern Song Dynasty, the central figures of Korean literary circle went to the North Song for many times as the core members of the diplomatic corps as the envoys, deputy envoys and scribes. And in the process, they were trying to study this new style in the Northern Song’s literary world. This could be proved by Kim Buil, Han Anin and Kim Bueui’s state visit to the Northern Song and their “Yueyu”and “Zhiyu”. In 1100, Kim Buil paid a state visit to the Northern Song as a scribe, and in 1115, he was praised by the Koryo Yejong and the Northern Song Hwijong because of the Zhiyu of Palgwanhoe. In April of the following year, when he went to Seokyung, he wrote the Zhiyu made on a banquet in yongeon palace in Seokyung city. In 1103, Han Anin visited the Northern Song as a deputy envoy, and in 1118, in order to congratulate Yejong’s birthday, he composed the Zhiyu made on king’s banquet on the Hamnyeong Festival. Kim Bueui entered the Song as a scribe in 1111 and then as a deputy envoy in 1124. In 1129, he imitated Koo Yangsoo’s Hoerodangchieo, and wrote the Zhiyu of Sangjuyeon to commemorate the literati banquet.
So, as one of new literary forms which was popular in the Northern Song Dynasty, “Yueyu” and “Zhiyu” can be known by Anthology of Poems of Silla and Goryeo Literati(Donginjimunsayuk). Especially, all of the authors had paid a state visit to the Northern Song, and this phenomenon was of great significance in the Korean literature and the history studies of Korean literature.
