석송 김형원과 김창술의 시에 나타난 근대성 연구 = A Study on the Modernity in the Poetry of Kim Seok-song and Kim Chang-sul : Focusing on storytelling in the Urban Space

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본고에서는 1920년대 신경향파 시인들 중에서 첨예하게 도시의 문제를 스토리텔링의 방식으로 자신의 시속에서 형상화한 김석송과 김창술 시인을 통하여, 그들이 경험했던 도시와 도시를 통한 근대의 모습을 살펴보고자 한다.
김석송은 신경향파 운동을 주도했던 시인으로 그의 의식의 기저에는 당대의 사회주의 이데올로기로부터 비롯된다. 그는 새로운 삶의 조건으로서 등장한 자본주의 도시에 대한 매혹뿐만 아니라 근대도시화로 인해 발생하는 계급 모순이나 욕망의 문제에 대한 비판적 인식을 시적으로 형상화한다.
그는 서울을 그의 시작의 출발점으로 삼는데 식민지 지배와 근대의 이중의 모습을 보여주는 장소로서 형상화하며, 구체적 삶의 곡진함이 묻어 있는 장소가 아니라 뿌리 뽑힌 자의 모습을 보여주고 있다.
또한 도시빈민들의 삶의 모습들을 통해 민주주의 제도를 시와 시론을 통해서 수용한다. 이렇게 김석송은 도시를 중심으로 하여 그 당시의 체제나 관습에 대해 비판의 날을 세웠고 근대성의 실현을 주로 감각적인 측면에 의지했던 동시대의 다른 시인들에 비해 제도나 인습에 대한 비판, 민주주의 제도에 대해서 고민했으며 1920년대 신경향파 시론에 선구적인 역할을 하였던 시인이다.
김창술이 주로 활동했던 1920년대는 식민지적 근대화가 본격적으로 진행되어 근대 도시의 풍경이 자리 잡기 시작한 시기와 겹친다. 김창술은 전주에서 출생하고 활동했다. 그런 그의 삶의 모습은 시속에서도 자연스럽게 투영되어 도시와 관련된 작품들을 발표한다.
1920년대의 도시는 새로운 근대적 삶의 재편이 일어나는 곳이면서도 일제의 식민지 지배전략과 결합하여 이루어지는 곳으로 김창술이 바라 본 도시의 풍경은 거짓과 위선으로 차 있으며 물질문명이 지배하는 곳이기도 하지만 새로운 것으로 변화되는 것에 기대감을 갖고 있는 것을 보여준다. 더불어 그는 사회주의의 사상을 채택하며 도시노동자들과의 연대속에서 세상을 개조하고자 한다. 그것은 사회주의 혁명을 통해 새로운 시대로 변화하고자 하는 욕구를 반영한 것이다. 그래서 그가 구사하는 시적 현실은 현실개조에 대한 뚜렷한 목적의식을 가지고 있으며 남성적 목소리로 환원되어 1920년대 우리 시의 새로운 변경을 개척했다고 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Kim Seok-song"s poems show two aspects of modernization and colonialism with a focus on Seoul. But they only perceived the problem of the colonial modern city as phenomenal.
Kim Seok-song cannot avoid being criticized as ideological but criticized the regime and custom of that time with a focus on cities. And he criticized systems and conventions compared to the other contemporary poets depending largely on the sensory aspect for the realization of modernity and worried about the system of democracy.
Kim Chang-sul was born and active in Chunju as the poet intensively engaged in the activity of writing poems over the period between the mid1920s and the early 1930s. This picture of his life was to present the works of poetry related to the city. The city of the 1920s was the place where the reorganization of a new modern life occurred.
The landscape of the city at which Kim Chang-sul took a look was expressed as the place filled with falsehood and hypocrisy as the other poets took a look at it. But his vision of taking a look at the landscape of the colonial modern city, unlike that of the poets active in the 1920s, was to present a feeling of expectancy toward the new and the change of the world as well as the vision of the others. In addition, he adopted the thought of socialism and intended to remodel the world in link with the proletariat. Like this, it is thought that the poetic actuality presented by Kim Chang-sul exploited a new change of our poetry of the 1920s as the poem with the clear critical mind of actual remodeling in terms of the subject
