The purpose of this study was to find out the rating concordance between teachers' subjective perception and problem behavior rating results on preschool children. As the relating variables, this study investigated the effects of children's sex, age, teachers' age, educational background and career attributes on children's emotional and behavioral problems. The subjects of this study were 75 teachers and 169 preschool children who were between the ages 3 years and 6 years. The results suggested that there was a significant differences between teachers' subjective perception and evaluation results about the emotional and behavioral status of preschool children. Teachers tended to regard the normal children without any problems as the abnormal children with emotional or behavioral problems. Rating concordance increased at the children aged 6 compared to the children under 5 years old.
