Purpose: The purpose of this study is to develop a sports psychological skills periodic training program for physical education middle and high school student athletes in region J, apply them to student athletes, and confirm the effect. Methods: The subject of this study was a total survey of student athletes (n=244) of physical education middle and high school in the J region, and the convenience sampling method for instructors (n=14) and student athletes (n=24) was used. It was divided into non-season, winter season, game season, and post-game season, and by situation, it was divided into just before the game, during the game, after the game, and the training situation. Results: A sports psychological skill periodic training program was developed according to the requirements and applied to 4 high school students and 2 middle school students. Through this, although the psychological improvement and individual differences were shown for each player, it also had a positive effect on the performance. In addition, through in-depth interviews, athletes confirmed the positive effects of psychological skills training and the use of psychological skills cards. Conclusion: The sports psychological skills periodic training program had a positive effect on the psychological and athletic performance of student athletes. In addition, it showed a positive influence of the psychological skill card and education used in the psychological skill training of the athletes.
