The purpose of this study is to analyze the operation of rugby team and internal and external activities of the 40th Army, Navy and Air Force Academy Sports Competition from 1946 to 1993 using literature analysis methods and to present its meaning. Thus, the following conclusions were drawn. First, the rugby team began with the opening of the Korean Naval Academy in 1946. Third, they belonged to the "special team" and conducted camp training and off-season training throughout the year to prepare for the athletic competition of the Army, Navy, and Air Force Academy. Fourth, the Navy Academy's rugby team achieved two consecutive wins in the 33rd (1952) and 34th (1953) national sports competitions at the beginning (1946-1953. Fifth, the Naval Academy Rugby Team established a tradition of winning two consecutive championships by winning two consecutive championships in the 3rd (1956), the 4th (1957), the 10th (1963) and the 11th (1964). Sixth, the Navy Academy Rugby Team strengthened tradition and honor by winning its first national championship in 1969, the 23rd (1976) and the 24th (1977), and the 29th (1982) and the 30th (1983).
