Shown below are the results of the survey of 524 Cheju Halla College students in Jeju-Do, regarding breakfast habits and actual conditions of breakfast
1. 20.6% of the total 524 students surveyed have breakfast daily and regularly, 14.5% of them have nothing and 30.9%, have it once or twice a week
2. The less they sleep or the more they smoke and dirnk alcohol, the more they skip breakfast
3. 89.5% of them have subjective symptoms in their physical health condition and feel highly fatigued.
4. Breakfast behavior is among the poor group, as an average 3.428. As the students always have breakfast, they show better breakfast habit
5. At breakfast, they eat as rice based meal, 82.5% taking 15 minutes or less.
6. Not having enough time for breakfast is the common reason that(59.3%) skip breakfast. If they have breakfast, they would prefer a rice based meal.
The result of the survey shows that students in Jeju-Do have bad eating habits and high rate of skipping breakfast, when compared with students and salared people outside of Jeju α. So, it is highly requested to give them advice concerning the importance of eating breakfast, guidance in nutrition, and clmate smoking and drinking. And it a1so asks to develop a rice based meal to enable them to have a convenient breakfast.
