슬로시티 철학 구현에 기반을 둔 도시재생 사례분석을 위한 탐색적 고찰 = The Exploratory Study of Urban Regeneration Based on the Implementation of Cittaslow Philosophy-A Case Study of Foreign Cities and Gamcheon Village in Korea-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 들어 개발중심의 도시 계획 및 정책 과정에서 배제되었었던 도시재생에 대한 사회적 관심이 증가하고 있다. 이는 고도성장의 도시발전을 거듭해온 대도시 개발계획과는 또 다른 방식의 지속가능한 삶에 필요한 사회적 조건을 제고해 볼 수 있는 도시재생 가치를 구현하려는 현상으로 볼 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 도시재생 가치와 방법 중 슬로시티(Cittaslow)가 궁극적으로 추구하는 친환경적·문화적 관계성에 입각하여 문화관광자원을 이용한 계획 및 실천 과정에서의 새로운 도시재생 전략을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위해 슬로시티 철학(Cittaslow Philosophy) 구현에 기반을 둔 서구 도시들과 한국 감천마을이 관광목적지로서 지속가능성에 입각하여 어떻게 각자의 정체성을 확립하고 있는지를 환경, 기반시설, 기술 및 편의시설, 지역 자생력 보호, 인식, 환대의 슬로시티 인증 평가요소와 연계하여 탐색적으로 분석하고자 한다. 이를 통해 공공재로서의 가치를 지닌 관광자원의 본원적 의미를 중심으로 하는 새로운 도시재생 모델을 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently there has been growing social concern in the concept of urban regeneration that had been neglected in urban planning and policy in many countries focusing on the physical development of urban areas. It shows that urban regeneration is an important concept to improve the social conditions for a sustainable community while metro development projects contribute to a high level of urban growth. To establish a new urban regeneration strategy, the study examined some cities using the Cittaslow Philosophy for urban regeneration and their planning of cultural tourism resources and implementation of the plans. It also analysed how case cities and Gamcheon Village establish their own identity as a tourism destination for sustainability based on the Cittaslow certification requirements; environment policy, infrastructure policy, quality of urban life, agricultural, touristic and artisan policies, policies for awareness and training, and hospitality. Therefore, the study is expected to suggest a new urban regeneration model, premised on understanding the true meaning of tourism resources as public good.
