혈관내피세포의 건강은 운동이라는 메커니즘과 어느 정도 관련성이 있는 것으로 생각되나, 현재는 생화학이나 의학적 측면에서만 다뤄지고 있을 뿐 운동 관련 분야에서는 다소 저조하게 연구가 진행되고 있는 것으로 생각된다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 선행 연구의 문헌 분석을 통해 운동이 혈관 내피세포 및 탄성에 미치는 영향을 알아보고 노화와 관련된 질환에 대한 운동의 역할을 강조하고 싶은 것이다. 이러한 운동의 역할을 이해하는 것은 운동의 잠재적 이익과 중요성을 효과적으로 입증하고, 수명연장의 가능성을 제시해줄 수 있다고 여겨진다.
