군인교회 중년남성의 성숙성에 관한 연구 : 이야기 심리학(narrative psychology)적 접근 = (A) study on mid-life men's generativity in military church : in the view of narrative psychology

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 '이야기 심리학'(Narrative psychology)적 입장에서 군인교회 중년남성들의 성숙성의 대본(generativity script)을 살펴보는 것이다.
중년기는 심리적, 신체적, 종교, 가족관계, 직업생활, 사회적 지위와 사회활동이란 영역에서 중요한 전환기이다. 일반적으로 중년기의 사람들은 자신들을 평가하는 과정과 신체적 상태, 직업적 지위, 인간관계 등을 조정하며 중년기 위기를 경험한다. 융(Jung), 쉐이(Sheehy) 등은 중년기에 중년기 위기를 경험한다고 한다. 대조적으로, 에릭슨(Erikson)과 코트레(Kotre) 그리고 매카담스(McAdams) 등은 중년기가 위기의 시간일 뿐만 아니라 성숙성의 기간이라는 것을 우리에게 보여준다. 이 논문은 특별히 이야기 심리학의 이론적 관점에서 중년기의 성숙성을 말한다. 매카담스의 이야기 심리학은 개인이 자신의 정체성을 발견하기 위해 이야기를 만든다는 개념에 근거하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구자는 매카담스의 이야기 심리학에서 중년기 성숙성 대본 형성의 이론적 구조를 설명했다. 나아가, 이 이론에 기초하여 심리전기적 방법의 입장에서 만들어진 질문지를 도구로 군인교회 중년남성 네 사람을 인터뷰했다. 심층면접에 기초하여, 본 연구자는 군인교회 중년남성 네 사람의 사례를 분석했다.

The purpose of this study is to examine the mid-life generativity script for Military Church men from the narrative psychological viewpoint.
Mid-life is a period of important transition in the areas of psychology, physical, religion, family relations, occupational life, social classes and social activities. The people of mid-life generally experience the mid-life crisis in the process of evaluating themselves and adjusting their lives with regard to their physical conditions, occupational positions and human relation, etc. A number of studies by Jung, Sheehy, etc. showed us that mid-life has experienced the mid-life crises. On the contrary, Erikson, Kotre and McAdams etc. revealed to us that mid-life was not a period of crisis but a period of generativity. This thesis especially focuses on the theoretical structure of narrative psychology's viewpoint to point out the mid-life generativity. McAdams's narrative psychology is a theory which is based on the idea that individuals create their own stories to discover self-identity. Therefore I summaries the theoretical structure of mid-life generativity script with McAdams's narrative psychology. Furthermore, based on these theories, I interviewed four mid-life men in the Military church as a tool of question sheets from the standpoint of psycho-autobiographical method. On the bases of intensive interview, I analyze the four cases of middle aged men in the military church.
