개념적 맵들의 특성분석을 통한 스토리텔링의 시각화에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Visualization of Storytelling through the Analysis of Conceptual maps

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Various methods, such as diagrams, graphs and maps are used to visualize and organize various types of information and knowledge. The study examines and analyzes the characteristics and elements of various types of conceptual mapping methods that are utilized in order to visualize complex and multi-hierarchical information and knowledge. Visualizing complex information via conceptual mapping methods not only provides users ways to deal with such complexity in a tangible way, but also helps users grasp the structural nature of such complex information by visualizing the relationships among the information and knowledge's. The study also explorers possibilities to adopt these mapping methods as practical ways to visualizing storytelling. Based on the idea that storytelling is another form of collection of massive amount of information, the study argues that visualizing storytelling via conceptual mapping methods would not only entangles complex information about characters and events but also effectively shows the relationship among the characters and events. Specifically, the study examines the definitions and characteristics of three types of mapping methods - i.e., mind map, concept map, and topic map. Each mapping method then, is adopted as a way to visualize the storytelling of Alice's adventures in wonderland.
