삶의 태도변화 : 소유론에서 존재론으로 = Shift in attitude on life : From possessive life to ontological life

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날 우리는 존재론적 위기에 처해 생명이 좌초되는 현상을 자주 목격하게 된다. 사회적 경쟁구조가 충돌의 위험을 수반하고 있고, 그 과정에서 굶어죽는 사람도 발생하고 자살하는 사람도 늘어나고 있다. 이런 상황이 계속되게 할 수는 없으므로 변화가 필요하다. 철학이 그 기반을 마련해 주어야 하는데 변화의 시도는 인간의 실존양식에서 시작되어야 한다고 생각한다. 우들 대부분의 실존양식은 소유론적이다. 내가 보기에 소유론적 실존양식은 생명력 고갈과 관계되고 존재론적 실존양식은 생명력 고양과 관계된다. 더욱더 중요한 것은 우리의 실존양식이 미래세대의 존속문제와 긴밀한 관련을 맺고 있다는 사실이다. 이에 이 글에서는 인간이 존재론적 실존양식으로 전환해야 하는 이유를 노자와 「계사전」 그리고 『태일생수를 전거로 삼아 전개했다. 노자의 유무상생, 「계사전」의 음양의 법칙, 『태일생수』의 일결일영의 법칙은 우리가 존재법칙의 반쪽만 실현하고 있다는 사실을 알게 해준다. 소유론적 실존양식은 우리 스스로 관계적 맥락을 파괴하고 존재기반을 무너뜨리는 방식이다. 그것은 또 이 세계에서 ‘생성 변화의 물결’이 제대로 작동하지 못하게 함으로써 생명위기를 야기하는 주된 원인이다. 따라서 해법은 우리의 실존양식의 변화에서 찾아야 할 것이라고 생각한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In today’s world, the phenomenon of stranded life caused from ontological crisis is frequently observed. Our social structure of competition brings about catastrophic results; such as increasing the number of people who die from hunger and by suicide. This situation cannot be tolerated. Change is needed. Philosophy should play a foundational role in initiating such a change. The attempt of change must begin from humans’ modes of existence. What is taken by majority of people today is possessive mode of existence, which is correlated to depletion of life. On the other hand, ontological mode of existence is correlated to vitality of life. What is important to point out in this context is that our mode of existence is interrelated to existential problem of future generation. This implies that future continuation is dependent on our modes of existence. In this article, I am going to argue that we should move on to ontological mode of existence from possessive mode of existence. This argument will be supported by the water’s mode of existence in three classical pieces of Lao-tzu, ‘the Commentary on the Apprehended Phrases’ and ‘The Great One Gave Birth to Water’. Lao-tzu’s ‘being and non-being beget each other’, The principles of Yin and Yang of ‘the Commentary on the Appended Phrases’ and “‘the principles of filling and clearance’ of ‘The Great One Gave Birth to Water’” provoke us to realise that we are pursuing only half of the modes of existence. Possessive mode of existence is a trivial manner that ruins our relational context and existential foundations on our own. It is also the main cause of life crisis as it would not allow ‘wave of change generation’ to operate properly.
