대학생의 진로목표 추구활동에 영향을 미치는 변인 간의 구조관계분석 = The Structural Equation Analysis of Variables that affect College Students' Career Choice Actions

The purposes of this study were 1) to examine the variables that affect college students' career choice actions and 2) to explore relationships among these variables using a theoretical model. The present study used the career choice model of social cognitive career theory (Lent et al., 1994) as a theoretical model. In the present study, we added two additional variables (i.e., social value and expectancy of occupation) to the original career choice model. A structural equation model with 531 data points that used social support, social value of occupation, self-efficacy and career barriers as exogenous variables, and outcome expectation, expectancy of occupation and interests as mediators was tested. The dependent variable of the structural equation model was the career choice actions. The goodness of fit indexes of the analysis showed that the model was not adequate enough. Based on the results, we revised this model by applying theory-driven and data-driven criteria and hypothesized a revised model. The results of the analysis indicated the most appropriate model with 2 exogenous variables(i.e., social value of occupation,self-efficacy), 2 mediators (outcome expectation, expectancy of occupation), and career choice actions as the dependant variable (X²=60.76(p<.001), RMSEA=.11, GFI=.96, AGFI=.90, NFI=.91, CFI=.92). In this model, 3 paths(i.e., social value of occupation→outcome expectation, self-efficacy→outcome expectation,self-efficacy→expectancy of occupation) were positively significant. Also, outcome expectation and expectancy of occupation were significant predictors of the career choice actions. In addition, the results showed that the relationship between social value of occupation and career choice actions was mediated by outcome expectation, and the relationship between self-efficacy and career choice actions was mediated by expectancy of occupation. The limitations and implications of the study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학생의 진로목표 추구활동에 영향을 미치는 주요 변인들 간의 구조적 관계를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 진로목표 추구활동에 영향을 주는 선행변인으로 Lent 등(1994)의 사회인지 진로이론모형에 직업의 사회적 가치와 직업획득 가능성 기대를 추가하였다. 대학생 531명의 자료를 구조방정식 모형으로 검증하였으며, 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 사회적지지, 직업의 사회적 가치, 자기효능감 및 진로장벽을 외생변인으로, 결과기대, 직업획득 가능성 기대 및 직업흥미를 매개변인으로, 그리고 진로목표 추구활동을 최종 종속변인으로 한 구조방정식 모형에 대한 검증결과, 양호한 부합기준에 다소 못 미치는 결과가 나타났다. 직업흥미, 사회적 지지와 진로장벽을 제외한 수정모형을 구성하여 검증한 결과, 전반적 부합도와 경로계수의 유의도를 고려할 때 처음 가정된 모형보다 수정모형이 더 적절한 것으로 나타났다(X²=.76(p<.001), RMSEA=.11, GFI=.96, AGFI=.90, NFI=.91 NNFI=.85, CFI=.92). 이 수정모형에서 직업의 사회적 가치와 결과기대, 자기효능감과 결과기대, 자기효능감과 직업획득 가능성 기대간의 경로가 모두 정적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 결과기대와 직업획득 가능성 기대도 목표 추구활동에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또 직업의 사회적 가치는 결과기대를 매개로, 자기효능감은 직업획득 가능성 기대를 매개로 진로목표 추구활동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구의 제한점 및 후속 연구 방향을 논의에서 다루었다.
