This paper aims to experimentally investigate the pressure drop characteristic in the upward two-phase flow inside the nickel foam. The void fraction was directly measured to show the properties of the mixture, and the QCV(Quick Closing Valve) method was used. The void fraction was measured with drain system using compressed air or calculated by liquid holdup. To see only the pressure loss, the hydrostatic pressure difference was directly compensated by using three methods such as Drain method, Liquid holdup method, Homogeneous flow assumption.
