몽환적 공간 표현에 관한 연구 : 본인 작품을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 몽환적(夢幻的) 공간 표현에 대한 연구로 구성되어 있다. 인간의 본질을 바탕으로 무의식 상태에서 표출되는 현상과 몽환적 이미지를 고찰함으로써, 몽환적 표현을 통하여 이상을 갈망하는 내면세계를 작품에 나타내고 있음을 밝히고자 하는 것이다.
몽환은 꿈과 환상이라는 뜻으로 인간이 현실세계에 대한 상처와 한계성으로 인해 이상세계에 대한 상상을 하고 있는 현상을 말한다. 이러한 몽환을 꿈꿀 수 있는 가장 중요한 요소는 무의식이 성립되는 것이다. 인간의 정신세계는 의식과 무의식으로 이루어지는데 의식보다 더 광범위한 의미를 가지는 무의식은 현실 속에서 인간의 잠재된 내면의 모습을 밖으로 표출되는 것이라 할 수 있다.
이러한 것을 심리적, 정신적으로 분석한 이론에 따르면 융은 무의식으로의 접근을 위해 가장 중요하게 여긴 것은 꿈(夢)이였고, 의식하지 않는 꿈속에서의 기억들을 가지고 무의식으로 접근하였다. 또한 프로이트는 개인의 꿈 해석을 통해 그의 과거를 알아내고 치유할 수 있다고 하였고, 융은 과거뿐만 아니라 미래까지 예측할 수 있다고 보았다.
동양에서의 꿈은 상징적인 것을 내포하고 있으며 특수한 정신 상태와 정신적 활동임을 고대 중국에서부터 과학적인 탐색을 바탕으로 끊임없이 연구하여 꿈에 대한 깊이를 더하고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 서양에서의 꿈은 초현실적인 것을 뜻하며, 현실세계를 상상과 환상이 극대화 된 것으로 나타나고 있다.
연구자는 인간의 무의식속에서 나타나는 이상에 대한 갈망과 이러한 것들이 표출되어 탄생하는 몽환적 공간이 인간에게 주는 특징에 대하여 알아보았다. 따라서 그러한 특징이 연구자의 작품 안에 어떻게 표현되었는지 표현방식과 특징에 대하여 연구하였다.
연구자의 작품은 현실세계에서 이상을 갈망하는 인간의 모습과 이상세계에 도달한 인간의 모습 이렇게 두 가지로 분리하여 ‘바라보는 것’과 ‘노닐다’라는 관점에 중점을 두어 동양화의 전통적인 채색화를 이용하여 표현하였다.
본 논문은 연구자의 작품세계 속 ‘몽환적 공간 표현’을 이론적으로 정립하기 위한 것이다. 작품에 표현 된 우주공간과 마음속에 내재되어 있는 이상에 대한 갈망을 감성적 이미지를 통하여 표현한다.
인간의 내면세계, 즉 무의식 상태에서 표출되는 현상에 대하여 신비로운 몽환적 이미지들로 나타내고 있으며, 이를 바탕으로 현대적인 느낌을 더하여 다양한 재료와 기법을 통하여 동양 회화의 새로운 장을 보여주고자 하는 논문이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis is a study about dreamlike spatial expression. Considering the current state and dreamlike image released unconsciously based on human nature, this is trying to show the inner world longing for ideal is well portrayed in the work through the dreamlike expression.
The word, fantasy means dream and phantasm and it is kind of an imaginary state for an ideal world with injuries and limits from real world. A Key factor to dream of dream & phantasm is to lapse into unconsciousness. The human psyche is consisted of consciousness and unconsciousness. Unconsciousness has much more extensive meaning than consciousness and it releases out the potential inner part of human in the real world.
According to the theory analyzed this psychologically and mentally, Carl Gustav Jung considered dream is the most important thing to approach to unconsciousness and tried to approach to unconsciousness with memories from dreaming. He also thought it would be possible to predict future as well as pulling the memories out from the past while Sigmund Freud said the past can be pulled out and healed through the interpretation of personal dreams.
The dream in the East is symbolic and constant studying on dreaming through the scientific investigation from ancient china period found dreaming predicates special mental state and mental practice and added academic depth to dream. The dream in the West is surrealistic and it indicates the real world as maximized imagination and illusion.
A researcher went over the characteristics of dreamlike space for human where desires from unconsciousness for ideal exist and they’re released. Accordingly, expression method and features on how those characteristics portrayed in the work of the researcher have been studied.
The work of researcher shows the human longing for ideal in the world and the human in the ideal world and expressed through the traditional painting of the Orient focusing on the perspective of ‘looking’ and ‘enjoying’.
This study is to establish the ‘dreamlike spatial expression’ of the work of researcher theoretically. The researcher expresses the space in the work and the desire for ideal existed in mind through emotional images.
This thesis, through the dreamlike images, shows the inner world of human which is the state released from unconsciousness and based on this, it is also trying to show a new chapter of oriental painting through the various materials and techniques adding contemporary feel.
