Sejong City Office of Education operates a school education support center as a branch of its headquarter. This study was conducted to examine the identity of the Sejong City Office of Education's School Education Support Center as an intermediate organization to support school education and to explore the possibility of expanding its functions. To this end, we surveyed school teachers, staffs and center staffs, who are consumers and suppliers of educational supporting services, on their perceptions of the center's identity, business content, and operating strategy. As a research method, focus group interviews (FGI) were conducted to collect and analyze qualitative data.
As a result, school sites and those in charge of work: 1) form and share meaning about the center's identity - establish the essential meaning of 'educational activities', set the scope and location of 'support', 2) improve business resolution - reorganize business areas, and other They requested differentiation from departments, establishment of work boundaries, establishment of a unified portal, 3) business improvement - advancement of key businesses: resolution of support gaps, establishment of appropriate standards, and resolution of structural inefficiencies.
In order to establish the identity of the intermediate organization that supports school education and expand its functions, cooperative relationships must be established with various organizations within and outside the Office of Education.
