Donation campaign is an organized and persuasive communication activity. For this reason, it is necessary to construct a distinctive strategy when delivering messages by its donation context and purpose, exposed to the donors. To this end, the study situates its argument in relation to the more effective strategies for the donation communication.
At the same time, the study demonstrates that the extent to which the message effectiveness differs from the type of donation area (domestic/international) and donation purpose (survival/education) in the donation campaign targeted to children.
The result turned out that a specific message correlates with a higher donation effectiveness when it comes to the domestic type of donation area, however, an abstract message is not likely to show a higher donation effectiveness in relation to the international type of donation area. Moreover, relation between a specific message and a higher donation effectiveness when it comes to the survival type of donation purpose, and an abstract message and a higher donation effectiveness relative to educational type of donation purpose are confirmed.
Accordingly, it is highly possible to argue that it needs to suggest an adequate message considering the donation area and donation purpose in each context to organize an effective donation campaign communication, however, both just increasing frequency of a campaign and using the same message are less likely to boost the effect of a donation campaign.
