In this study in order to investigate the tool wear and cutting resistance under fluctuation cutting speed, helix angle, kind of tool meterial, the type of tool edge and cutting method by helical square, Ball end milling.
The results are as follows.
1. Flank wear with end mill increased in proportion of cutting speed.
2. Max. min and fluctuation in cutting force are decreased depends upon increasing a helix angle with end mill. And the main force increased in proportion of helix angle. But the width of flank wear are in inverse proportion to helix angle.
3. The tool wear becomes dwindle as the high cutting speed at down milling and low speed at up milling. And the tool l?fe are given with longer at high speed in SKH 10 rather than SKH 56 tool materials.
4. The tool wear are a difference with the type tool edge and becomes bigger as the tool wear the common end mill rather than ball end mill by increasing a cutting length.
