This study was to investigate the effects of relative quantity of fertilizer and storage on pollen ferility. Two staining methods, a germination method and crossings were used to estimate pollen fertility. Four storage temperatures, three storage days and three fertilizers were used. The results were as fellow:
The difference in relative quantity of fertilizers (1.0 fold, 1.5 fold, 2.0 fold) have not influenced on pollen fertility. Of the staining and germination methods, only germination method was correlated with seed set. The storage was possible to six day in refrigator condition without any effects on pollen fertility but not in room temperature. Variety York the highest pollen germinability among the varieties tested.
