<AbsText> THE COURT at Hatfield House is the last of that group built before 1860 which is still in use, and it is particularly interesting as the only one of the older courts in which there has been play without intermission, and it has always boasted a resident professional. From 1849, six years after it was built, until the present day the court has been looked after first by "John" Lambert, the father of a numerous family of great players, and then by his youngest son Charles, who, though no longer able to play, is still as great an enthusiast as ever, and has many memories of the court and all about it. </AbsText>
