<AbsText> THIS pack, since its establishment on a new footing, has been busy with the cubs, having been out on four occasions, and accounting for an equal number of foxes. Circumstances had prevented my seeing anything of them in the field till Tuesday, Oct. 9, when they met at Chaddenwyche, to rattle one of the litters of cubs that Mr William White had awaiting them, and I was certainly well rewarded for my journey over the downs. A misty cool morning cleared off about nine o&apos;clock, and a clear and lovely day resulted; the vale, as seen from the hills above the covert, seeming bathed in a flood of sunshine, revealing to the eye a wealth of foliage on tree and hedgerow that told too plainly the tale that, till after a good many frosts to thin the leaf, we must needs ride heedfully amidst the big doubles. </AbsText>
