노인 자원봉사자의 자기효능감이 자원봉사 지속의지에 미치는 영향 = The Effect of Self-efficacy of Older Volunteers on Willingness to Continue Volunteering : The Mediating Effect of Social Support

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 노인 자원봉사자의 자기효능감이 자원봉사 지속의지에 미치는 영향과 사회적 지지의 매개효과를 검증하는 것이다. 이를 위해 충청남도 군 단위 7개 지역의 65세 이상 노인자원봉사자를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였고, 총 360부를 최종 분석에 사용하였다. SPSS 25.0과 PROCESS macro 4.2를 활용하여 분석한 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인 자원봉사자의 자기효능감이 사회적지지에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인 자원봉사자의 자기효능감이 자원봉사 지속의지에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노인 자원봉사자의 자기효능감과 사회적지지는 자원봉사 지속의지에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 노인 자원봉사자의 자기효능감은 사회적지지를 통해 자원봉사 지속의지에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 자기효능감이 높을수록 사회적지지가 높고, 사회적지지가 높을수록 자원봉사 지속의지가 높다는 것을 의미한다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 노인 자원봉사활동을 활성화하고 사회적지지 증진과 자원봉사 지속의지를 강화시키는 방안을 제언하였다.

This study is to verify the effect of self-efficacy of older volunteers on their willingness to continue volunteering and the mediating effect of social support. To this end, a survey was conducted on older volunteers aged 65 or older in seven county-level areas in Chungcheongnam-do, and a total of 360 copies were used for the final analysis. The main results of the study analyzed using SPSS 25.0 and PROCESS macro 4.2 are as follows.
First, it was found that the self-efficacy of older volunteers had a direct effect on social support. Second, it was found that the self-efficacy of older volunteers had a direct effect on the willingness to continue volunteering, and among the demographic and sociological characteristics, which are control variables, educational background had a significant effect. Third, it was found that the self-efficacy and social support of older volunteers had a direct effect on the willingness to continue volunteering.
Finally, it was found that the self-efficacy of older volunteers had an indirect effect on the willingness to continue volunteering through social support. In other words, the higher the self-efficacy, the higher the social support, and the higher the social support, the higher the willingness to continue volunteering.
Based on these findings, a plan was proposed to revitalize volunteer activities for older adults, promote social support, and strengthen the willingness to continue volunteering.
