It was difficult for architect to use existing optimization simulation for building in the design stage. This study proposes a set of optimization simulation for eco-friendly designs that can be used from the initial stage of design. First, various programs that are currently using were compared and analyzed to select energy performance analysis program. Major criteria for this are as follows: 1. The target of the program is an architect? 2. Could it simulate multiple target values? 3. Is it compatible with other programs? Designbuilder is a program that targets both architects and engineers, supporting visual modeling for architects. We combined Designbuilder, a energy performance analysis program for building, Energyplus and ModeFRONTIER, an optimization program. We proposed to link with Energyplus that uses Dos-Batch from ModeFRONTIER while performing modeling and extracting IDF from Designbuilder. We also divide optimization process of building energy by each program to facilitate the analysis of errors and causes of failure during the optimization process and reorganized the guidelines for each stage.
