Objective: This study examines the effect of multicultural adolescents’ body satisfaction on social withdrawal and verifies the mediating effect of self-esteem in this relationship. Methods: The study utilized data from the eighth-year survey of the Multi-cultural Adolescent Panel Study (MAPS), and the research subjects were second-year high school students. For data analysis, frequency analysis, correlation analysis, descriptive statistics, research model fit, and path analysis were performed. Results: The findings of the study are as follows. First, multicultural adolescents' body satisfaction had influenced social withdrawal. Second, the study identified that self-esteem partially mediated the relationship between multicultural adolescents' body satisfaction and social withdrawal. Conclusions: As a result, the study suggests educational programs and an education provision, and institutional and policy recommendations are necessary to enhance adolescents’ body satisfaction and self-esteem
