우리나라 서비스산업 매출에 영향을 미치는 국별 거시경제요인에 관한 실증분석 = An Empirical Analysis of Macroeconomic Factors Affecting Sales in Korea’s Service Industry

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 우리나라 서비스산업 중 관광산업을 3개 분야로 선별하여 국별 거시경제요인이 이들 분야의매출에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가를 분석한 것이다. 우리나라 주요 교역국 44개국(아시아 대륙 10개국, 아메리카 대륙 6개국, 유럽 대륙 25개국, 오세아니아 대륙 2개국, 아프리카 대륙 1개국)을 선별하여 이들 국가의 거시경제지표를 2011년부터 2020년까지 10년간 수집 정리하여 패널데이터로 활용하였다. 변수 선정에서 단변량 분석방법으로 원인변수와 결과변수로 구분하여 이항 로지스틱 회귀모형에 따라 일반화추정방정식을 설정하여 종속변수인 매출액에 영향을 미치는 거시경제지표를 독립변수로 FTA 체결 여부, 실질실효환율, 1인당 국내총생산, 국민의 해외관광객 수, 관광 총지출액, 소비자 물가지수, 인터넷 이용률의 7개 요인들에 대하여 실증분석 결과를 도출하였다. 이때 원인변수 중에서 연속성 변수는 가중평균관세, 실효환율, 인구수, 국내총생산, 제조업부가가치, 1인당국민소득으로 선형회귀모형을 선택했고, 범주형 변수는FTA 발효 여부를 더미변수로 정하여 분석하였다. 본 연구에 활용한 7개의 독립변수 모두가 높은 유의수준을 나타나지는 못한 원인은 패널데이터 결측치의 영향이 작용한 것으로 보이며 분야별 다른 결과가 도출되어 관광산업의 경우는 분야별로 분리해서 분석할 경우에 좀 더 유의한 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 확인하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Among the factors of 44 major countries with a large number of tourists entering Korea, the factors affecting Korea’s tourism industry sales among FTA signing, real effective exchange rate, per capital gross domestic product, people’s overseas tourists, tourism expenditure, consumer price index, and Internet utilization rate were found.
Based on this, several implications were derived.
First, it has been confirmed that the conclusion of the FTA has a positive effect on the sales of the Korean tourism industry, and it is necessary to deal with the service free trade sector more heavily in the upcoming FTA negotiations. As a result, the increase in tourist access leads to the revitalization of the hotel, aviation, and travel industries, and job creation in related industries can also be expected.
Second, it was confirmed that the increase in per capital gross domestic product, that is, the increase in purchasing power of individual countries, leads to an increase in sales of the Korean tourism industry.
Third, it was confirmed that the increase in Internet usage in individual countries is a factor that reduces sales in the Korean tourism industry.
