      It might be very important for teachers to understand the needs, methods and contents of life-long education. In this context, I attempted to find out what are necessary to improve the life-long education in elementary school by investigating how the schools operate these programs and what kind of problems they are facing.
      Specific research questions of this study are as follows.
      First. investigate and analysis that elementary school teachers how to understanding and viewing of the life-long education on elementary school.
      Second, investigate and analysis that how is the current operational standard of the elementary schools life-long education programs.
      Third, investigate and analysis that what are the demands and the improving ideas of the elementary schools life-long education and some suggestions for the operation improvement.
      The results of this study were obtained from the questionnaire which has been sent to the 250 in elementary school teachers in Busan which were sampled randomly. The data for the study were obtained 184 copies that were analyzed 148 copies.
      As the instruments for meaningful research the SPSS/10.0 Windows PC+ package and Scheffe were used.
      The results of this research were as follows:
      First, most of teachers think that the life-long education is necessary and many teacher have positive view on concept of the life-long education who worked big size school
      Second, In case of the lecture, they like to invite expert related with the subjects and when the stage of programming, the content of the education must be considered at first. And the evaluation used to be questionnaires.
      Finally, the problem in the life-long education in school viewed from teachers are short of financial aids, work burden and needs life-long educator. Especially, the school teachers are too busy with their daily duties to put some efforts to the programs. Because of that and without a sufficient publicity and financial support, the life-long education programs in elementary school are operated merely for a conventional reason.
      Based on the above, the followings are the solutions I suggest for improvement methods of life-long education.
      To reduce elementary school teacher's burdens for life-long education and it need some idea for teachers who work with life-long education. It provides them various facilities that invite the public studies and programs for the teachers and give them prizes and merits for promotion for good results, they can promote the increase of attention for the life-long education of the teachers. According to that, there must be urgent cooperation system among the schools, school authorities, and local government.
