Geography is a science of place. Thus beginning of geography is surveying regional characteristics. An improvement in geography required necessity for describing spatial information. We use various tools such as photograph; charts, graphics, maps, language, etc. Especially, photograph is an important utensil when we analysis geographical phenomenon and locality for geographical research. We can use satellite photograph, aerial photograph and personal photograph for geography. Satellite photograph used to check global scale while aerial photograph used to check regional scale one. But personal photograph expressed individual decision making in special zone for objects. Nowadays, satellite photograph have been developed methods which we can analysis geographical phenomenon by qualitative and quantitative analysis. In addition, satellite photograph is utilized in fields of water pollution, flood, land use, military information, reporting etc. For reading satellite photograph, we need to know what they mean, what they are, what they being about 8 elements following shape, pattern, size, tone, texture, shadow, site, association. Developed countries had archived Geographical Information System(GIS), which satellite send photographs into computer for geographical use. Soon, we can expect that photography will be utilized in connected to geography.
