치과교정용 스마트 페이스마스크를 활용한 스마트 교정 관리 시스템 설계 및 구현

국문 초록 (Abstract)

국내 치과 병원에서의 치아 교정 환자 수가 지속적으로 증가하고 있는 가운데, 기존의 페이스마스크 치료 방법은환자의 착용 상태를 효과적으로 관리하기 어려운 몇 가지 문제점이 있다. 첫째, 기존의 페이스마스크 자체로는 환자의 착용 시간을 파악하기 어렵다. 이로 인해 의료진은 환자의 교정 상태를 정확히 평가하기 어렵게 되며, 이는 교정의 효과를 제대로 확인하는 데에 어려움을 초래한다. 둘째, 환자가 페이스마스크를 권고시간보다 적게 착용한 경우에도 의료진의 즉각적인 의견 전달을 하기 어렵다. 기존의 방법에서는 환자가 다음 내원 시에 의료진에게 착용 시간을 보고하거나, 의료진이 평가하는 방식이 일반적이기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제점을 극복하고자 기존 페이스마스크에 센서를 부착하여 착용 시간을 측정하는 스마트 페이스마스크와 스마트폰을 통해 측정된 착용 시간을 모니터링하는 교정 관리 시스템을 제안한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Among the increasing number of orthodontic patients in domestic dental hospitals, the conventional approach to face mask treatment faces several challenges in effectively managing patients’ wearing status. Firstly, the current face mask itself does not allow accurate tracking of patients’ wearing time. Consequently, the healthcare team finds it difficult to precisely evaluate the patient’s orthodontic status, leading to complexities in confirming the effectiveness of the correction. Secondly, delivering immediate feedback to the patient becomes challenging for the healthcare team, even when the patient wears the face mask for a duration shorter than recommended. This difficulty stems from the conventional method where patients report the wearing time during subsequent visits or through the healthcare team’s evaluation. To overcome these challenges, this research proposes a corrective management system. This system involves attaching sensors to the existing face mask to measure wearing time and monitoring this measured duration via a smart face mask and smartphone, offering a solution to effectively manage orthodontic treatments.
