사상체질별 MBTI 성격유형의 특성 분석 = A Study on the Traits of MBTI Types by the Sasang Constitution

A holistic care, which is an esthetic field for health, has become prevelent as a way to overcome their physical and mental imbalance, and they are paying attention to skin care through Sasang constitution.
This study aimed at figuring out the relations on the Jung's psychological types, Sasang constitutions, and personality traits. The subject for the study was recruited from women aged in their twenties in college 226 women were participated in the study. After determining the Sasang constitutions by QSCC Ⅱ, the psychological and physical characteristics of each group were analysed by MBTI.
The collected data was anaylyzed with the SPSS 10.0 windows statistical program.
The values of Cronbach's alpha for the Taeyangin, Taeumin, Soyangin and Soumin questionnaire were 0.54, 0.71, 0.45 and 0.73 respectively.
The results of this study were as follows;
The constitutions were shown in the order of Taeumin(45%), Soyangin(28%), Soumin(18%) and Taeyangin(9%). On the other hand the traits of MBTI was shown in the order of ESTJ(12.8%), ISTJ(12.4%), ESFJ(11.9%), ESFP(9.3%).
Taeyangin group showed more preference for Extroversion, Intuition, Thinking and ESTJ. Soyangin group showed more preference for Perception, Sensing, Feeling and ESFP. Taeumin group showed more preference for Judging, ESFJ and ISTJ. Soeumin group showed more preference for Introversion, Judging and ISTJ
The results show that there are significant relationship between Sasang constitution and MBTI psychological types. The findings indicated that MBTI could be useful tool to understand psycological characteristics of Sasang constitution. Therefore further study is considered to be required.
