The purpose of this study is to verify art integrated education and dance, which is appropriate to bring up creative Koreans who will lead 21C in accordance with the period of globalization and information, for the practical effect of art integrated education, which is mainly on dance, at the education sites of elementary schools, through the analyzation of change of creativity of elementary students.
To testify the purpose of such study, pre- and post-test were done to compare the difference of fluency, uniqueness, openness and sensitivity, between groups, using K-FCTES, classifying each 25 students of second graders of G elementary school with art meeting class, and 25 students of second graders of S elementary school without the class, as experiment group and control group. The study was done on total 19 times of classes, once a week for 19 weeks from March 7 to July 18, 2011. SPSS/WIN statistic program 18.0 was used for collected data, and the data was analyzed by independent t-test.
Through this process, the results were gotten as follows;There was significant difference in creativity between experimental group with art integrated education and dance (to meet art) class and control group without the class. Homogeneity was secured because the pre-test showed no difference in fluency, uniqueness, openness and sensitivity The result of post-test showed statistically significant difference in uniqueness, openness and sensitivity, only without fluency, with higher result in experimental group than that of control group. The experimental group showed two times higher result especially in openness, and a little higher result in fluency, and least difference between pre-and post-score than other sub-variables, in uniqueness. As for sensitivity, it showed the second highest result after openness, through post-test. Thus, as for creativity test, it was testified that the experimental group with art meeting class showed higher creativity sub-variables than in control group.
Art integrated education and dance is an integrated education to bring up a creative human and multiple recognition abilities, and which is an activity which enables individual's integration and development. Furthermore, it is very desirable to supply with the opportunity of dance-centered art integrated class to elementary students as an educational method to develop their creativity, satisfying physical development and educational, cultural and art purpose at the same time, because improving their creative ability and attitude can give effect till their adulthood in the future, because the creative thinking ability is one of the most required one for the children in 21C.
It seems that more discussion is in need on the change of composing factors of creativity, according to the contents of art meeting, which was not researched in this study. Concretely speaking, it will be a meaningful study to testify what kind of themes and contents gives positive effects on what sub-factors of creativity, in order for future developing of programs for art integrated education and dance program, and to find out better educational effect for children.
