Serum amyloid A1 involves amyloid plaque aggregation and aggravates memory deficits in amyloid beta abundant condition : 아밀로이드 베타가 풍부한 환경에서 Serum amyloid A1이 아밀로이드 플라크 형성과 기억력 저하에 미치는 영향

Alzheimer’s disease is one of the that characterized by cognitive impairment, progressive neurodegeneration and amyloid-β (Aβ) lesion. In progress of disease, inflammation known is to plays important role in neuronal death. Previous study on Serum amyloid A 1(SAA1) shows liver derived SAA1 accumulated in the brain by passed through the brain blood barrier (BBB) without damaging it. Since triggered SAA1 execrate the immune response in other disease, double transgenic mouse was generated with APP-c105 mice and SAA1-overexpression mice to examine the function of SAA1 in Aβ accumulated condition. Comparison between APP and double mice elucidate that SAA1 exacerbate amyloid aggregation and inflammation in Aβ abundant condition in brain. Followed behavior test also support the preceding result that double transgenic mice shows declined memory compared to APP mouse that only designed to express the Aβ 1-42.
