판소리 문화원형콘텐츠의 창작창극 제작분석 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 주제는 문화원형콘텐츠 판소리를 토대로 창작된 창극의 작품제작의 실제를 분석하는 연구이다. 즉, 판소리 문화원형의 전승실태 및 창작공연콘텐츠 작품제작의 실제를 분석하여 판소리 문화원형콘텐츠사업의 지역사례를 소개하고자 수행한 연구물이다.
연구방법은 크게 보아 지역의 문화자원 개발의 측면에서 지역사적 역사문화인물의 원형자원 개발방법과 문화원형의 스토리텔링, 그리고 스토리텔링에 기반한 창작창극 제작론에 대한 작품분석을 주요 방법론으로 삼고 있다. 연구방법론을 요약하면 문화자원 개발론과 문화원형 스토리텔링, 스토리 기반 공연콘텐츠 제작 사례연구 그리고 작품분석이 주요한 연구방법이라 할 수 있다.
작품분석은 문화원형 스토리텔링에 기반하여 전라북도립국악원이 수행한 판소리 원형의 창작창극 3개 작품을 대상으로 시도하였는 바 그 분석방법은 주제인물 분석, 작품특징, 서사구조 분석, 음악적 특징 분석, 대중적 수용양상으로 나누어 검토하였다.
연구결과 판소리 문화원형콘텐츠의 창작창극 제작방식의 의미와 성과는 크게 다음의 네 가지로 요약된다.
첫째, 지역기반 문화원형자원의 발굴을 통한 스토리텔링과 서사구조를 통해 극적 작품을 탄생시킴으로써 공연콘텐츠로서의 성공적 모델이 된 점이다.
둘째, 판소리 문화원형의 활용에 있어 창작창극이라는 공연형식의 완성을 통해 전통공연예술의 양식화에 기여한 점이다.
셋째, 지역의 역사문화인물자원의 발굴과 개발을 통해 지역의 정체성과 지역마케팅의 소재로 활용하여 지역이미지 구축에 기여한 점이다.
넷째, 지역소재 문화원형이 대중적 검증을 거쳐 많은 성과를 도출하고 검증되었는 바, 지역문화콘텐츠의 OSMU 부가상품 개발 및 활용가치를 제고하기 위한 기반이 마련된 점은 높게 평가된다.
연구를 통해 살펴본 바와 같이 전라북도 지역에서는 오랜 제작기간과 실험을 통해 대중적으로 외면받는 판소리 문화원형의 대중적 복원과 예술적 실험을 진행하였다. 전라북도의 지역적 성과는 지역 문화자원의 개발과 판소리 문화원형의 문화콘텐츠 상품화의 가능성을 예시하는 면에서 좋은 선례라고 판단한다.
본 연구의 한계는 다른 창극 제작기관의 유사작품과의 특성비교를 수행하지 못한 점과 창작창극 제작에 있어 판소리 서사구조가 어떻게 변화하여 극적 요소를 획득해 가는지에 대한 분석이 이루어지지 못한 점이다. 이러한 점들은 향후 후속연구를 통해 보다 발전된 연구성과로 자리잡기를 기대해 본다.
연구의 결과물은 새로운 판소리원형의 공연콘텐츠 상품화에 있어 제작방식과 제작원리를 도입하는데 유익한 사례가 될 것으로 판단한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine the production of creative changgeuk (Korean traditional opera) on the basis of the cultural prototype contents of pansori. In order words, the investigator examined the reality of transmission of cultural prototype contents of pansori and of production of creative performing contents and then introduced regional examples of cultural prototype content business of pansori.
As for study methods, the investigator used the method of prototype resource development of historical and cultural figures in the local history, from the aspect of regional cultural resource development, and the storytelling technique of cultural prototype, together with the analytic method of production reality of storytelling-based creative changgeuk. To sum up, study methods include cultural resource development, cultural prototype storytelling, case study of storytelling and story-based performing content production and work analysis.
Study subjects for work analysis were three creative changgeuks of which prototype was pansori developed by Jeollabuk-do Provincial Institute for Korean Traditional Performing Arts on the basis of cultural prototype storytelling. The focuses of analysis were the analysis of thematic figures, the characteristics of works, the analysis of narration structures, the analysis of musical characteristics and the modality of popular acceptance.
Study findings show that the meaning and achievement of production of creative changgeuk on the basis of cultural prototype contents of pansori can be summarized as follows:
First, by producing storytelling and narration structure-oriented dramatic works through the discovery of regionally-based cultural prototype resources, the creative changgeuk in this study became a successful model of performing contents.
Second, by completing the performing style of the so-called creative changgeuk from the aspect of cultural prototype of pansori, the creative changgeuk contributed to the stylization of traditional performing art.
Third, by discovering and developing regional resources of historical and cultural figures and then using it as the subject matters of regional identity and regional marketing, the creative changgeuk contributed to the establishment of regional images.
Fourth, by realizing the popular verification of regional cultural prototype and achieving a lot of results, the creative changgeuk contributed to the establishment of a base to develop additional OSMU commercial products of regional cultural contents and enhance its use values.
As study findings show, Jellabuk-do area has carried out the popular restoration and artistic experiment of cultural prototype of pansori, which was avoided by the public, via a long period of production and experiment. Jellabuk-do's regional achievement seems to be a good precedent that exemplifies the possibility of developing regional cultural resources and commercializing the cultural contents of cultural prototype of pansori.
The limitation of this study was that it did not carry out the comparison with other changgeuk production agencies' similar works, and it did not examine how the narration structure of pansori changed to acquire dramatic elements in the production of creative changgeuk. The investigator hopes that following studies deal with these issues.
In conclusion, study findings will be useful data to introduce the method and principle of production of creative changgeuk in this study into the commercialization of pansori prototype-oriented new performing contents.
