Objectives. We examined dentist awareness and experience on infant oral health care in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do, Korea. Methods. We surveyed of 483 dentists (282 in Seoul, 175 in Gyeonggi-do, 36 in Gangwon-do)using 14 questions related to infant oral health care and the recommended age for the first dental visit. Results. Fifty two percent of dentists had not performed the Infant Oral Health Screening Program. Only 18% of surveyed dentists felt that 12 months was appropriate for the first dental visit. Most respondents do not have correctly understand the Infant Oral Screening Program. Conclusions. Dentist recognition of infant oral health care is insufficient. There is a need for increased infant oral health care education in dental communities.
