The purpose of this study was to investigate the actual conditions of Dancesport and find. out activated plans for the future. In order to accomplish these goals, how Dancesport program was administrated by the resident self-governing center in each office of a dong in Seoul city. The results obtained from this study were as follows: First, almost of Dancesport programs administrated by the resident self-governing centers had several problems, such as time schedule, lecture fee, and school level. To solve those problems, The government should be interested in the needs of the residents and talk with them, so as to mediate such problems of time schedule, lecture fees, and levels of Dancesport programs administrated by the resident self-governing center in each office of a dong. Through these efforts, satisfaction level of the resident self-governing center would be increased and Dancesport might be developed day by day. In conclusion, in order to development Dancesport, all dancers and international Dancesport organizations in the world have to unite their efforts and work together, so that Dancesport should be selected a formal event of Olympic Games. as soon as possible.
