Radiolucence is a roentgenographic finding of osteolysis after total hip arthroplasty, and extensive osteolysis can simulate a metastatic cancer or other osteolytic malignant tumor. This study is on the case that was 29-year old female patient who had gotten a total hip arthroplasty for the treatment of fibrous dysplasia of the femoral head twelve years ago, and had severe expansive osteolysis in the pubic bone. The patient had been transferred from several hospital with the strong suspicion as a malignancy.
