남녀 고등학생의 두통 양상과 조절요인 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라 고등학생들은 대학입시 중심의 학교 교육에 치중
할 수밖에 없는 현실 속에서 부모와 주변 사람들의 기대 그리
고 친구와의 관계정립 등 환경적 요인 및 신체적, 생리적, 사
회적 변화에서 겪게 되는 갈등, 현실과 이상의 심한 불균형에
서 오는 불만 등 심리적 요인에 의한 스트레스를 받고 있다
(Kim, 2004). 많은 스트레스와 갈등을 경험하면서 다양한 신
체증상을 호소하는데 특히 두통은 아동과 청소년기에 일반적
으로 많이 경험하는 증상으로서(Kernick & Reinhold, 2008)
고등학생을 대상으로 신체적 증상에 대해 조사한 연구 결과에
서는 고등학생의 26.7%가 두통이 있다고 보고하였으며(Woo
et al., 1998), Bugdayci (2005)의 연구에서는 49.2%라고 보
고하였고, Lee 등(2002)의 연구에서도 최근 1년 이내에 1회
이상의 두통을 경험한 여자 고등학생이 60.4%라고 보고하여
상당히 많은 수의 학생이 두통을 호소하는 것으로 나타났다.
실제로 두통은 일생동안 경험하지 않은 사람이 없을 정도로
아주 일반적인 증상 중 하나로서 일반 인구에서 두통의 유병
률은 연구에 따라 다양하지만 대개 30-80% 정도로 보고되고
있다(Chung & Hong, 2000에 인용됨).
