The COVID-19 pandemic has had a huge impact not only on physical health, but also on mental health. The UN has called COVID-19 and mental health “Parallel Pandemic,” and has declared that COVID-19 is a disaster that devastates mental health(UN, 2021). Previous studies have reported an increase in various addictive behaviors such as alcohol, drugs, gambling, and the Internet in disaster situations such as pandemics. However, in Korea, there is a lack of social work practice and policy interest for addictive behaviors in disaster situations. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of the pandemic on addictive behaviors, focusing on the four major addictions: alcohol, drugs, gambling, and the Internet, through literature review. Based on results, the implications for mental health social work for addicted clients in the post COVID-19 era were discussed
