This study consists of statistical observation of 262 cases who complained of sterility in our out-patient clinic for 4 years and 9 months from 1st January, 1959 to September, 1963. This study include all of the cases who has had regular marital life over one year. The results are as follows: 1) Sterility cases were 5.59% of total out-patients (4,687) and it was increasing year after year. 2) Distribution between the age of the patients and the period of sterility was related with each other. Sterility within 5 years was estimated as 27.9%, within 7 years was 45.5% and sterility for over 15 years was 16.4%. 3) Majority of sterility case seemed to be relatively privileged than average Korean living standard. 4) Delayed tendency of menarche was not found. 5) The cases who had regular menstrual history was predominent. 6) Most of chief complaints were lower abdominal pain and backache. It is considered to be related to chronic inflammatory disease which might have caused sterility. 7) Primary sterility was predominent as many as 2.4 times than secondary one. 8) 64.1% of secondary sterility had spontaneous full term delivery in their last pregnancies. 9) Semen test was performed in 76 cases, 21.4% of all cases, and 42.1% of them showed abnormal. 10) Diagnostic endometrial curettage was performed in 31.7% of all cases and revealed secretory phase in 65.1%. Endometrial tuberculosis was found in 4.8%. 11) Hysterosalpingography was performed in 96 cases, 36.6% of all cases, which showed occlusion bilateral or unilateral in 80.2%. 12) Pregnancy was followed in 6 cases after some kind of examination procedures, and 4 of them had full term delivery while ectopic pregnancy was resulted in 2 cases.
