청각장애인의 정보접근을 위한 정보통신용어 수화해설사전 제작에 대한 욕구분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

신기술의 도입으로 인하여 청각장애인들의 정보접근권을 신장시킬 수 있는 여건은 나아졌지만 장애인을 대변하는 힘의 한계, 장애인에 대한 사회적 인식 부족 등의 이유로 정보접근권은 예전에 비해 크게 나아진 바가 없다. 또한 많은 청각장애인들은 시각언어인 수화와 음성언어의 문자인 한글을 사용함으로 인해 구조적 문맹상태에 있기 때문에 소리와 텍스트위주로 되어 있는 정보전달체계에서 정보를 수용, 가공, 활용의 면에서 어려움을 겪고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 이와 같은 관점에서 정보화 사회의 새로운 기술과 정보화에 대한 기본적인 이해를 위해 청각장애인들이 사용하는 수화를 중심으로 새로운 해설사전이 필요하다는 가정하에서 ‘정보통신용어 수화 해설 사전’에 대한 청각장애인 및 청각장애인 정보화교육 교사들의 욕구를 분석해보았다. 그 분석결과 청각장애인과 정보화교육 교사는 정보통신용어 수화해설사전의 필요성을 공감하고 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The conditions that can expand the access of the deaf to information has improved due to the introduction of new technologies, but there has been no big improvement on their access to information compared with before because of the limited power to speak for the disabled, the lack of social recognition about the disabled, etc. Furthermore, lots of the deaf remain in a structural illiteracy as they have to use a visual sign language or Hangul, anaudio language, so they are experiencing difficulties in accepting, processing and using information in the present information communication system which is mainly centered on sounds and texts.
Therefore, from the viewpoint as above, this study analyzed the desires of the deaf and teachers educating the deaf for 'a sign language expository dictionary of information communication terms' under the hypothesis that a new expository dictionary of information communication terms used by the deaf is needed for the development of new technoloies for a information society and for the basic understanding of information development. As a result, it has been found that the deaf and their teachers are commonly feeling that they need a sign language expository dictionary of information communication terms.
