IT is a just and excellent observation of Blair, that there is hardly any circumstance in life, in which the history of our Saviour will not afford us counsel to act consistently. Either his actions or his exhortations apply to the whole extent of our civil and moral duty; and in every respect we see his life consistent with his advice to others; a degree of purity and rectitude, to which the most rightcous mortal never arrived. A peculiarity in the facred writings is the strength of the language, and the quantity of sentiment they contain.
