박정희 정권하 한국여성스포츠에 대한 고찰 = 학교·엘리트·사회체육을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 1961년부터 1979년까지 군권으로 통치했던 박정희정권하 여성스포츠의 역사를 통해 학교·엘리트·사회체육을 재조명하는 데 의의가 있다. 한국여성선수들은 해방이후 미군정과 한국전쟁 그리고 불안정한 국내정치 속에서도 1948년 런던올림픽 첫 번째 올림픽 출전부터 1960년 로마올림픽까지 꾸준한 경기력 성장을 보여줬다. 그러던 것이 제3공화국이 들어서면서 엘리트체육정책이 국가의 스포츠정책의 기조가 되면서 여성스포츠의 경기력은 더욱 성장하게 되었다. 특히 학교체육과 실업팀을 바탕으로 성장한 여성스포츠는 따로 여성을 위한 정책적 배려가 없음에도 불구하고 국내경기는 물론 세계대회까지 출전하였으며 특히 단체구기종목에서 좋은 성적을 거두었다. 결국 박정희정권하 여성스포츠를 토대로 한 경기력은 현재 한국스포츠 수준이 세계 10위를 차지할 수 있도록 했던 중요한 요소임은 물론 세계스포츠사에 기록될 만한 한국여성들을 속속 탄생시켰다는 데에 큰 의미가 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study has a meaning that reevaluates the history of Korean modern women`s sports under the regime of Jeonghi Bak(well known as Chung-Hee Park, 1917∼1979) which had established a military rule from 1961 to 1979. Though Korean social atmosphere was unstable because Korea was under America rule and the Korean War broke out at that time, Korean female athletes` performances were enhanced constantly from the London Olympic Games in 1948 to the Roma Olympic Games in 1960. Especially, from the third republic, Korean female athletes` performances have been more enhanced, since the national sports policy focused on the advancement of elite sports. Particularly, Korean women`s sports which were based on physical education and amateur teams participated not only in domestic competitions but also in world competitions and have obtained excellent results in team ball games though they could not gain any political concerns. After all, Korean athletes` performances which were based on Korean women`s sports under the regime of Bak`s were the decisive factors that Korean sports get to 10th in the world sports nowadays and have a meaning that produced many excellent Korean female athletes who are able to be recorded in world sports history.
