This 攀Key words : Deep Respiration, Health* 본회 자문위원, 한국심장학회 고문, 의사攀攀article is studying on the relationship between deep respiration and health.The term respiration includes all the process involved in transporting oxygen from the atmosphere to the tissue cells and carbon dioxide from the cells to the atmosphere.These process together are sometimes referred to as external respiration and the utilization of oxygen in the cells as internal respiration, including the adjustments the occur in exercise.Thus, under normal resting conditions, inspiration is active, depending on the contraction of the inspiratory muscles, which expiration is passive, depending on the increased elastic recoil of the lung, and chest wall that is produced by proceeding inspiration. it should be emphasized that the changes in intrapleural. pressure associated with breathing have nothing to do with causing changes in lung volume, but are the result of changes in lung volume and hence in the elastic recoil of the lung.So, exercise increases the metabolism of the body and requirement of oxygen. in response to this demand for more oxygen, the rate and depth of breathing are promptly increased.Deep breathing is very beneficial for the health of human beings and the correct breathing during zen, meditation is very synergic with autonomous nervous system. The autonomous nerve orders the physiological system to revert to relaxed condition when physical stress has gone.That is why zen implementation including deep breathing will directly increase capability of the body immune system and at the same time upgrade psychic peace, mental strength, emotions, and the mind.
