디지털 환경에서의 아동권리와 교육 방안 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리 사회가 점차 디지털 기술에 의존하게 되면서 디지털 환경이 아동에게 미치는 영향은 갈수록 커지고 있다. 본 연구는 아동의 일상생활 속에서 중요한 일부분이 되고 있는 디지털 환경에서 아동권리 보호와 실현을 위하여 UN 아동권리위원회 「디지털 환경에서 아동권리에 대한 일반 논평 제25호」를 바탕으로 디지털 환경에서 아동이 가지고 있는 권리의 주요 내용을 도출하고, 현행 개정 2015 교육과정을 분석하였다. 분석 결과 디지털 환경에서 아동의 권리 내용은 일부 교과에서 단편적으로 제시되어 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 이러한 문제점을 보완하기 위하여 디지털 환경에서의 아동권리 교육 방안을 이해-적용-확장-실천 네 단계로 나누어 제안하였다. 1단계는 이해로 디지털 환경에서의 권리에 대한 인식과 구체적 내용 이해를 목표로 한다. 2단계는 적용으로 디지털 환경에서 아동권리가 적용된 실제 사례, 침해된 사례 등을 주변에서 찾아보는 활동을 통하여 추상적으로 제시된 권리들을 실제 일상생활 속에 적용해보도록 한다. 3단계는 확장으로 디지털 환경에서 아동권리와 관련된 문제를 알고 이것의 해결 방안을 모색하는 것이다. 4단계는 실천으로 디지털 권리보호의 중요성을 인식하고 이를 생활 속에서 실천하는 것이다. 본 연구는 디지털 환경에서의 아동권리 내용요소를 도출하고, 교육 방안을 제시함으로써 앞으로 관련 연구의 기초를 마련했다는 점에서 의의가 있다.

As our society increasingly relies on digital technology, the impact of the digital environment on children is rising. It is necessary to deal with related content in more systematic and in-depth ways in subjects related to children’s rights in the digital environment. This study proposed a children’s rights educational approach in the digital environment. The first step is understanding, which aims to recognize and understand the specific content of rights in the digital environment. The second step is to apply the abstract rights to actual daily life through activities that look for actual cases where the children’s rights are applied or violated in the digital environment. The third step is expansion, which seeks to solve children’s rights problems in the digital environment. The fourth step is to recognize one’s responsibility for protecting digital rights and put it into everyday practice. This study is significant in that it provides a basis for future research by deriving the core content elements of children’s rights in the digital environment and suggesting a children’s digital rights educational approach.
