유치원 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육의 문제점과 개선 방안 연구 = (A) Study on the Utilization of Kindergarten Homepage : Problems and their Alternatives in Parent Education

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유치원에서 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육이 현장에서 구체적으로 어떻게 이루어지고 있으며 교사들이 그 운영상의 문제점과 효율적인 개선방안에 대해 어떻게 인식하는지 알아보기 위한 것이다.
본 연구의 연구문제는 다음과 같다.
가. 유치원 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육의 실태는 어떠한가?
나. 유치원 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육의 문제점에 관한 교사의 인식은 어떠한가?
다. 유치원 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육의 개선방안에 관한 교사의 인식은 어떠한가?
연구대상은 전국의 공립과 사립의 유치원에 재직하고 있는 교원 237명이다. 연구문제 가는 홈페이지를 활용하여 부모교육을 실시하고 있는 유치원의 실태로 51명의 교원들의 인식을 각 항목별로 빈도 분석을 하였다. 연구문제 나, 다는 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육의 실시여부에 관계없이 문제점과 효율적인 운영방안에 대한 교원들의 인식을 SPSS를 이용하여 빈도분석을 하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 홈페이지를 활용하여 부모교육을 실시하는 곳은 25%정도였고 이들 유치원에서는 부모교육의 목표에 따른 체계적인 연간계획이 있었다. 그러나 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육을 위해 사전 준비로 부모의 요구와 흥미도 검사, 문헌연구를 하지 않은 경우가 많았다. 또한 원활한 운영과 관리를 위해 교사교육을 하는 곳도 있었으나 전담교사를 두지 않는 경우가 더 많았다. 그리고 동영상을 이용한 프로그램은 거의 없었고 내용이 적정시기에 교체되지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 유치원 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육 운영상의 문제점을 보면 우선 홈페이지 관리를 위한 전담교사가 없는 점이고, 교육활동과 내용을 바꾸는데 시간이 많이 드는 점과 부모들의 인식이 부족하여 참여도가 낮은 점으로 나타났다. 반면 부모교육에 대한 교사의 인식과 컴퓨터 활용능력도 부족하지 않다고 응답하였다. 이는 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육을 실시하는데 있어 교사의 인식과 컴퓨터 활용능력의 문제보다는 시간의 부족이나 재정적 지원이 더 큰 문제임을 알 수 있었다.
셋째, 홈페이지를 활용한 부모교육의 효율적인 운영방안에 대한 교원들의 인식을 살펴보면 참여도를 높이기 위한 부모의 요구와 흥미를 반영하는 과정이 필요하다와 각 유아교육기관에서 쉽게 구입하여 사용할 수 있도록 대학이나 연구소 등 관련기관이 제공하는 부모교육프로그램의 필요, 정부와 지역사회의 행정적, 재정적 지원이 필요하다 순으로 모두 높은 응답율이 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research identified how parental education based on the use of homepage at kindergarten is realized at the actual educational sites and how teachers perceive operational problems and effective improvement measures.
Key issues addressed in this research are as follows.
1. What are the realities of parental education that is based on the use of kindergarten homepage?
2. How is teachers perception of problems related to parental education based on the use of kindergarten' homepage?
3. How is teachers perception on improvement measures related to parental education based on the use of kindergarten homepage?
Research targets were 237 teachers of nationwide private and public kindergarten that can be searched on the search engine. Research no. 1 pertains to the realities of 51 kindergarten where parental education is conducted based on the use of homepage. Teachers perception of effective operational measures and problems pertaining to the parental education based on the use of homepage was analyzed in research questions no. 2 and 3 by using frequency analysis based on the use of SPSS.
Results of this research can be summarized as follows.
First, approximately 25% used homepage to conduct parental education. These kindergarten had developed structured annual plan accordance to the goals of parental training. However, there were many instances in which parents demands, their level of interest and research of bibliography were not examined as a means of preparing for homepage assisted parental education. Moreover, there were schools that trained their teachers to ensure effective operation and management, but there were greater number of cases in which teachers with exclusive responsibilities were not available. And there were almost no programs that used motion image, and the study showed that the contents were not changed at the appropriate time.
Second, when the problems related to the operation of parental education that leverages kindergarten homepage were examined, the following were cited; absence of teachers whose role is to manage homepage, significant lead time required for changing educational activities and contents, and parents low participation level due to lack of awareness. Meanwhile, responses cited were that there was no shortage of teachers awareness and computer skills pertaining to parental education. This signifies that the foremost problem of executing parental education based on the use of homepage lies in the lack of time or financial support, more so than the teachers lack of awareness or inability to use computers.
Third, when the teachers awareness pertaining to the effective operation of homepage assisted parental education was examined, it is possible to witness that there is a need for a process that will reflect the demands and interest of parents in order to increase the level of participation. Moreover, the following were cited in the order listed; need for educational program for parents, offered at universities, research institutes and related institutions to facilitate each childrens educational institutions to purchase easily for use, and the need for government and regional communitys administrative and financial support. They all manifested high response level.
