알코올중독자 남편의 정신과 입원에 대한 아내의 경험

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구는 현재 정신과에서 입원 치료 중인 알코올중독자의 아내가 경험한 남편의 정신과 입원 과정에 대한 이야기를 듣고, 그 경험의 본질과 의미를 파악하는 데 목적이 있다.
본 연구의 자료수집 기간은 2016년 1월부터 2016년 5월까지였으며, Colaizzi(1978)의 방법을 적용해 수집한 자료들을 분석하였다. 그리고 의도적 표집 방법을 통해 알코올중독으로 진단받고 현재 정신병원과 알코올중독 치료 전문병원에서 입원 치료 중인 알코올중독자의 아내 6명을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다.
본 연구에서는 18개의 하위 주제 묶음(Theme clusters)과 ‘알코올로 인해 문제가 발생함’, ‘입원을 결정함’, ‘입원 생활로 인한 어려움’, ‘입원을 통한 긍정적 경험’, ‘회복이라는 희망이 생겨남’의 5개의 범주(Theme categories)를 도출할 수 있었다.
이러한 범주를 바탕으로 정신과에서 입원 치료 중인 알코올중독자의 아내들의 경험을 들으며 이의본질에 대해 논하고, 알코올중독 환자의 회복 및 유지를 위한 실천적, 정책적 제언을 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study would explore the experience of wives of alcoholics in inpatient psychiatric treatment currently and understand the meaning and essence of the experience.
The data collection period was from January through to May 2016, and this study was conducted with six wives of alcoholics who were diagnosed with alcoholism using an intentional sampling method and now receiving inpatient treatment at a psychiatric hospital and an alcohol addiction hospital. The collected data were analyzed, applying Colaizzi’s method (1978).
Based on the analysis, 18 theme clusters and 5 theme categories were drawn. Dividing the themes into five theme categories, including ‘the occurrence of problems due to alcohol’, ‘the decision of hospitalization’, ‘difficulty due to the life of hospitalization’, ‘positive experience through hospitalization’ and ‘looking for a hope of recovery,’
Based on these categories, we listened to the experiences of the wives of alcoholics inpatient treatment in psychiatry, discussed their nature, and made practical and policy suggestions for the recovery and maintenance of alcoholism patients.
