효과적인 인지전 수행을 위한 HCI기술 활용 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글의 목적은 전쟁의 새로운 영역으로 부상하고 있는 인지전(Cognitive Warfare)을 4차 산업혁명 시대의 혁신적인 기술 중 하나인 HCI(Human Computer Interaction) 기술과 융합하여 인지전을 효율적으로 수행하는 방법을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 먼저 우리는 인지전에 대한 개념적 분석을 통해 인지전의 특성과 기존 전쟁과의 차이점 등을 살펴볼 것이고 앞으로 다가올 미래전에서 왜 인지전이 필요한지에 대해 살펴볼 것이다. 이어서 미래전에서 대용량의 데이터를 다루는 컴퓨터와 인간과의 상호관계를 향상하려는 HCI 기술이 인간의 사고를 전쟁의 영역으로 분류하는 인지전에서 필요한 이유를 알아보겠다. 또한, 인지전을 효과적으로 수행하기 위해 인간의 사고가 인공지능과 융합하여 합리적인 의사결정을 내릴 수 있게 하는 HCI 기술에 대하여 살펴보고 마지막으로 HCI 기술을 인지전에 적용하기 위해 갖는 제한사항 등을 보이겠다. 4차 산업혁명시대의 미래 인지전에서는 인지 우위가 전쟁의 승패를 결정하는 필수 요소들 중 하나라 볼 수 있는데, 이때 인지전에 HCI 기술이 효과적으로 활용된다면 군의 전략적 인지전 수행 능력이 한층 강화될 수 있을 것이라 생각한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this text is to propose methods for efficiently conducting cognitive warfare, which is emerging as a new warfare domain, by integrating human-computer interaction (HCI) technology. HCI is an innovative Fourth Industrial Revolution technology that enhances interactions between humans and computers handling large volumes of data. To achieve this, we first examine the characteristics of cognitive warfare and the differences from traditional warfare through conceptual analysis. We then explore why HCI technology is necessary for classifying human thinking in the realm of cognitive warfare. Furthermore, we investigate how human thinking combined with artificial intelligence through HCI technology enables rational decision-making to effectively conduct cognitive warfare. Finally, we discuss limitations in applying HCI technology to cognitive warfare. In future cognitive warfare, when cognitive superiority is expected to be a crucial determinant of victory, we anticipate that HCI technology will be effectively utilized to enhance strategic capabilities.
