The objective of endurance test is to replicate the loading conditions of customer usage in proving ground. Proving ground optimization method has been proposed to achieve a close match to the target profile considering one performance measure such as torque-revolution counts in the powertrain system. However, the one-side optimal endurance test mode may produce the conflicting solution in the whole system point of view. Considering several goals simultaneously, this paper employs multi-objective optimization method and it is applied to generate the optimal endurance test mode. One of the most widely used multi-objective method, weighted-sum method is used here and the case study (reproduction of army operating loading conditions) is discussed. It shows that our method can give the optimal solutions to satisfy several different objectives, which has not been suggested in the previous research.
