In 1964, with the establishment of Dongguk Institute of Tripitaka Koreana centering aroung Un-Heo monk, full-fledged Hangul Tripitaka operating had begun. With the aim of accurate translation and standardization of Sanskrit in Korean language the Tripitaka translation regulationwas established in the 1960`s. However, the Tripitaka translation regulation established in the 1960`s differs greatly from the current Tripitaka translation regulation in use. The changes in the Korean language grammar Korean language spelling system, the change in the responding means for Korean language method of expression during the process of translation Buddhism terminology are some examples of reason for these differences. Hangul Tripitaka can be given credit for prociding foundation for advancement in the study of Buddhism, however there are many problems and issues in relation to translation of Tripitaka. As aproblem seen in translation of scriptures centering around Tripitaka translation regulation of Hangul Tripitaka the following can be cited: problem in Koreanizing Buddhism termiologyㆍBuddhism doctrine composed of numbers(法術) ㆍSanskrit, sentences and style of writing, designated title and honorific statute, problems in denoting the words of Buddha via Korean language.
